WORLD CUP RECORD: From
1930 to 1990s they were part of Yugoslavia. From 1990s to 2006 they competed
together with Montenegro and this will be their 4th WC final tournament.
BEST RESULT: Their best result is round of 16 in 1998. They
played in a group with Iran, Germany and USA. With two wins and one draw they
finished second but with same points as Germany. In first konck-out stage Netherland
was better 2 to 1 with with late goal from Davids. I have to mention that Mijatović
missed a PK when result was 1-1.
In 2006 Montenegro
declared independence and after that we have only Serbia. Serbia played on 2010
WC where they made great win against Germany but lost two other matches and
finished last in their group.
