PLAYED FOR BOTH LIVERPOOL AND TOTTENHAM


Liverpool will face Tottenham in 2019 Champions League final in Madrid. Both clubs are from England and this will be only 2nd English final. First one was between Chelsea and Manchester United in 2008. United won the match 6-5 on PKs after 1-1 draw. Both, Liverpool and Tottenham, made their way to the final after great comebacks in semi-final matches against Barcelona and Ajax.

Liverpool had already won 5 Champions League titles and finished as runner-up in 3 more occasions. Reds had also won 3 UEFA Cup titles and same as that UEFA Supercup titles. This will be first CL final for Tottenham. Until now their best result was semi-final from 1961/62 where they lost from a Benfica, that season champions. They also made it to the last 8 in 2010/11 campaign. Tottenham will have chance to win their 4th European title in a match against Liverpool. They had won previously one UEFA Cup Winner's Cup and two UEFA Cup titles. Tottenham will be 8th English club to play in CL final.


These teams played only once in European competitions. It was in 1972/73 UEFA Cup semi-final. Alec Lindsay gave Liverpool lead after 90th minutes of the first match. Tottenham won the second leg 2-1 but Liverpool went into final and won UEFA Cup title.   

Ray Clemence is one of the players who played almost all career in those two clubs. He played in Liverpool for 14 years then moved to Tottenham and stayed there for seven years, until his retirement. He won 3 European Cup titles with Liverpool and lot of other trophies. There were also some other players who represented both clubs. Some have left a great impact while some didn't. PLAYED FOR BOTH ARSENAL AND CHELSEA


First UEFA Cup/Europa League was held back in 1971/72 season. Tottenham was better then Wolverhampton. It was only English final until 2019. Arsenal and Chelsea will face in 2019 Europa League final in Baku.

Arsenal and Chelsea are both from London. But they never considered each others as rivals. At least not as primary rivals. Since 2000s, after Chelsea's rise to the top of English football, this rivaly had became more important for their fans. Today, both of them are considered as one of the biggest clubs in England same as a match between them. The first league meeting between them was played back in 1907. Their match would always attract large attendances.

They already played against each other in European competitions. In was in quarter-final of Champions League in 2003/04. Chelsea was better then their rivals with 3-2 on aggregate. Both of them had already won European competitions but Chelsea is much successful. Chelsea already won Europa League title. In addition they also won Champions League, Cup Winner's Cup twice and UEFA Supercup. Arsenal have only UEFA Cup winners Cup. We can also mention Inter-Cities Fairs Cup won by Arsenal but it wasn't under UEFA.
