DER KLASSIKER

Der Klassiker or German Clasico is a football match between Bayern Munchen and Borussia Dortmund. They are two most successful clubs in Germany.

This rivalry grew up in the 1990s. In 1997 BvB won Champions league title on Bayern's home ground. In the 2000s Borussia had money problems and rivalry started again in 2010. when Borussia won two Bundesliga titles in a row. They bot met in the 2013 Champions League final which was won by Bayern. If we look to their mutual matches Bayern is much successful and have much more wins and better goal difference.

Here I will represent you more famous footballers/coaches who played/coached both clubs. Most know last transfers between this two clubs are Lewandowski, Hummels, Gotze and Rode. There were also big coaches who managed both clubs such as: Branko Zebec, Hitzfeld, Rehhagel and Lattek. Matthias Sammer played for BvB and now is Bayern sport director.

Branko Zebec was Bayern coach for two seasons and won German cup and Bundesliga. Only one season on Borussia bench and no trophy.

He played for Bayern in 1973 but no league app. More then 5 season with BvB, over 150 app with 45 goals.

He was born in Dortmund. Bayern sign him at the age of 13. For Bayern he played for about 8 seasons, including Bayern B team. After that he was signed by Borussia where he played for 3 seasons. He won two Bundesliga titles, both with Bayern.

In total he played only 9 league matches for both clubs.

His is father of Christian Nerlinger. Only one season with Bayern but 6 with BvB and over 150 league matches.

He played 9 season for both clubs in total. Three Bundesliga titles. One with Bayern two Borussia.

Wegmann played for "The Black and Yellows" in two occasions. Between then he played for Bayern where he won Bundesliga.

He is product of Bayern youth school but in two seasons he played only 13 league matches. Later he played for Dortmund.

Hummels is product of Bayern youth school but he did not get a real chance there and was loaned and later bought by BvB. In May of 2016 he re-jointed Bayern and sign a five.year contract.

Borussia legend and winner of Bundesliga twice, Champions League... He is now Bayern sport director.

A young brother of Bayern legend Karl-Heinz. He started his career and played with his brother at Munich giant. After 6 seasons with Bayern he signed for Borussia. He was not very popular to Borussia fans at the beginning but later he become BvB captain.

He was successful mamanger with both clubs. 2 Bundesliga, 2 DFB Supercup and CL title on BvB bench. Later he coached Bayern in two occasions and achieved much more success. 5 Bundesliga, 3 DFB-Pokal, CL...

Coach of Borussia for two seasons and one with Bayern. He didn't won any trophy with them.

4 seasons with Bayern and 6 trophies. Later he played one season for Dortmund.

Lewa played 4 seasons for BvB scoring 103 goals in 187 matches. 4 titles including 2 Bundesliga. In 2014 he signed five-year contract with Bayern.

2 seasons with Bayern and 2 Bundesliga. In 2016 he was bought by Borussia.

3 seasons in Bayern and then after just one season in Juventus he signed for BvB. He played there over 10 years. 5 Bundessliga titles. 2 Bayern and 3 Borussia. With "The Black and Yellows" he become European champion in 1997.

6 seasons with Borussia in which he was one of their key players. In 1992, he joined Bayern Munchen in controversial circumstances.Dortmund didn't wish to sell him to rival Bundesliga team and send him to Lyon. After only 3 months Lyon sold him to Bayern for 7.5 milions marks. At that time record for Bavarian club. With Bavarians he won 3 Bundesliga.

Only 3 seasons with both of them winning one Bundesliga with Bavarian club.

Bayern coach from early 70s. At his time Bayern was one of the best clubs in Europe. He lead them to 3 league titles in a row and European cup trophy, first for German clubs. Two season with Borussia with no success. Later he came back to Bayern and again won "league hattrick". Before end of his coaching career he again took Borussia bench for several months.
