BEST RESULT: Wales only WC final, till now, was in 1958. They played all three draws in a group stage (Hungary, Mexico and Sweden) and finished with the same number of points as Magyars. Because of that they played a playoff match for the knock-out stages. Despite being 0-1 down, Wales managed to overturn the match and won it 2-1. Quarter-final The Dragon's opponent was a future WC winner Brazil. Pele scored the only goal of the match and Brazil were in the semi-final.
