CALCIATORI PANINI SERIE A WINNERS

You could already seen on this blog all covers from Panini albums dedicated to Italian Serie A (here). There you could see that first Panini album for Serie A was published in 1961/62. Of course there were other albums before Panini but it is hard to collect all of them and find all champion clubs scans. I won't talk here about history of Serie A but let's say that first champion was Genoa in 1898.

First champion when Panini produced first album was Milan. Since then we had 11 different clubs (Milan is 12th) that have been champions. Except Milan champions were: Inter, Bologna, Juventus, Fiorentina, Cagliari, Lazio, Torino, Roma, Verona, Napoli and Sampdoria. Probably the biggest suprise was Verona title in 1984/85.

There is one season when champion where not crowned. It was in 2004/05 season becouse of match fixing scandal. Juventus were stripped of the title. Also in season 2005/06 Juventus was champion but their title was later revoked also due to fixing scandal and Inter become champion. Inter is the only Italian club that never played below Serie A.

Here you can see all Serie A winners since Panini started with Calciatori albums. I tried to put all teams with update/transfer stickers. According to my info updates started in 1998/99 season and I think I have all of them.
