UEFA EURO 2024 is the 17th edition of the UEFA European Championship, a competition for the best nation in men's football.
Along with Germany, the host nation, there are 23 more countries in the competition. Italy are defending champions, having won the 2020 tournament against England on penalties in the final.
This post is dedicated to the national team managers showing them back in the time during their playing days and now in the present time. All of them played football at least on amateur level.
Ronald Koeaman and Dider Deschamps already won the European Championship as players in 1988 respectively 2000.
Several of them represented their birth nation back in the time and now are managers of another nation: Sylvinho, Vincenzo Montella and Willy Sagnol. Dragan Stojković and Ivan Hašek represented two former nations: Yugoslavia and Czechoslovakia.
Biggest gap between two photos is about 45 years showing Ralf Rangnick during his playing time with Southwick in the 1979/80 season and now in 2024.
