MANAGER: Gareth Southgate
Former footballer and English national team player. Southgate played for three clubs: Crystal Palace, Aston Villa and Middlesbrough. 57 caps for England. He represented them on two EUROs 1996 and 2000. Gareth was manager of Middlesbrough and England U21 team before becoming England A team manager in 2016. He led them to the WC 2018 semi-finals.

TOP SCORER: Wayne Rooney- 53 goals from 2003 to 2018.

BEST RESULT: Third place in 1968 and semi-finals in 1996 on home soil. In 1996 they were in group A with Netherlands, Scotland and Switzerland. They drew in the first match and won the other two as they finished first. In the first knock-out stage The Tree Lions were better from Spain after better PKs. In the semi-finals they lost to Germany who was better on PKs. Their current manager missed in the 6th series.
